Ed's Tongue

Edgar is finally figuring out the whole food thing. It has taken a while, but he can eat about a third of a jar of baby food at a sitting now. His big accomplishment is that he can drink out of a cup. No, he can’t hold it himself, but he drinks very well. Other than nursing it is the only form of liquid he will accept. No sippy cups and no bottles. It makes finding a babysitter very difficult. Along with this good eating came some pretty stinky gas. Oh, it is bad! So Ed is short, fat, bald, four-eyed, nearly toothless, and now stinky. He is never going to find a girlfriend. :)

Ed has forgotten how to keep his tongue in his mouth. But even with it hanging out he is still a cute boy. Owen enjoys being a big brother and playing with Baby (as he calls Ed).

This is Owen (in case you can't tell them apart). Owen likes to try on Ed's glasses and then run. He usually never crashes into anything, but with the glasses on he is constantly running into walls and doors. He'll crash then look at you like, "where did that come from?"

Ed has rolled over twice now. Once from belly to back and once from back to belly. He refuses to try again. I’m sure it is because in his mind he is thinking, “been there, done that.”

Owen Outside

Owen has been going outside as much as possible. And ever since Axel came to visit us (wearing a hat) Owen has felt it necessary to put on a hat every time he walks out the door. That makes Sundays a little hard. It is too cold outside for Ed so either Carson will join Owen or Ed and I sit by the window and watch Owen. Owie loves this because he can come and talk to us whenever he wants to.

On a different note, Owen said his first prayer all by himself. No help from me whatsoever. This is what he said:

Heavenly Father.
Thank you day.
Thank you food.
Thank you Daddy go to work.
Name of Jesus.
Amen.

It was so cute that I had to write it down. I know I’ll cherish it forever.
